NYPD on Thursday arrested no less than 25 people that were in the lobby of Trump Tower rioting against U.S. President Donald Trump’s policies on immigration and border.
The rioters who were seated next to the elevators and yelled “no ban, no raids, no wall!”
Obligated security forces to close public reach to the president’s well-known building, which is a commercial and residential property where first lady Melania Trump and his son Barron Trump reside at the moment.
The moment the heftily armed police dressed with ballistic vests stood guard disabling entrance, different officers took the rioters to the police vehicles.
The property in the middle of the Fifth Avenue shopping district was also the center of the Trump’s campaign and has been his first residence for quite some time.
The lobby of the building is available to the public, even though security was packed as the 2016 campaign went by and Trump was chosen to be president. More so, charges were pending, the police stated.
The rioters were dressed in T-shirts with slogans such as “No wall,” as a response to Trump’s idea to build a wall on the southern border with Mexico, and “No raids,” as an answer to U.S. arrests of suspicious undocumented immigrants.
“No ban” is the chant that refers to Trump’s Muslim-majority country’s temporary immigration ban.
