Donald Trump Jr. intends to run for political office, revealing to participants of an elite gun club that he could be interested and get involved in the run for becoming governor of New York.
Don Jr. told to the participants at the F6 Labs gun club in Hicksville, NY, and, when questioned about his political aims, said he would be honored to follow his father’s steps directly from business into office.
One guest at a Tuesday’s meeting stated for Page Six, “Don Jr. said he is interested in running for office, such as governor of New York, but the position of mayor of New York would be less interesting to him.”
Don Jr. segued to say that he didn’t intend to be one of 100 Senators, nor to sit in Congress as a whole.
Campaigning next to his father made him project regarding his future, with him noting, “Do I want to be behind the scenes and be a mouthpiece and fight back against crazy liberal media? Maybe.” Don Jr. laughed about the fact he missed the surge of the presidential campaign: “Going back to doing deals is boring after 18 months. The politics bug bit me.”
The moment his father got inaugurated, he and his brother Eric have taken control of the Trump Organization.
Don Jr., appears to be constructing his political path already. He’s a dedicated hunter who went after elephants and posed with a dead leopard for an interesting Twitter post.
Opening up before a group that included Nassau Police Commish Thomas Krumpter, vodka company founder Marty Silver, lawyer and lobbyist Brad Gerstman and restaurateur Chris Tsarsi, Don Jr. stated he would be against anything that prohibits the Second Amendment, and he stands by state reciprocity laws, which permits guns to be carried between states.
One Trump source noted, “Don [Jr.] has no intentions of running for political office at this time . . . [He] is totally focused on running the Trump Organization with his brother.”
