President Trump on Saturday accused Barack Obama by saying that he wiretapped Trump Towers in the final moments of the presidential campaign. Even though it is early to confirm whether Barack Obama tapped or didn’t tapped Trump Tower, CNN was quick to refute the claim from Trump saying the President “falsely accused Obama.” Moments later, they realized that it was a very bad idea. The Twitter community was not going to let them get away with their fake story this time.
CNN published a story about Trump’s claims that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower, by declaring: “Trump falsely accuses Obama of wiretapping him.”

CNN host Brian Stelter, who originally noted CNN’s “blunt” headline, later called Trump the “conspiracy theory president” during an interview on CNN, per The Blaze.
It also appears that CNN updated their story headline to “Trump’s baseless wiretap claim.”
